Tiffany was the Ag Department classroom cat. She more than just a furry companion for the ag classes - she also was used extensively to teach concepts in animal physiology and veterinary science. From restraint to physical exams to nutrition, Tiffany served as a "purr-fect" model for teaching and exploration. Many thanks to Tiffany for her service. Wishing her many adventures in her new home.
Many animals are a part of instruction throughout the course of the year. While most do not stay the entire year, a variety of pets and livestock including dogs, heifers, chickens, goats, and more are used as teaching tools in Agricultural Sciences. These animals reflect a major goal of every ag course - to change the lives of students through an engaging, hands-on learning experience.
